Who I Am and What I Do

I am a classically trained, fully insured and licensed (Lic.Ac) acupuncturist, and full member of the Association of Acupuncture Clinicians (AAC) and the British Acupuncture Federation (BAF).

My practice mainly involves a Classical Five Elements Style, which is many thousands of years old and aims to treat at the deepest level of constitutional healing.

I am also trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Gua Sha, Cupping, Tuina and Moxibustion, and incorporate these into my practice where appropriate.

I believe that we all have the innate ability to be able to heal ourselves and I am grateful for the opportunity to support people on this journey towards optimal holistic health.

"The upper class of medicines...govern the nourishment of destiny and correspond to heaven"

-Shen Nong Ben Cao (206 AD-230 AD)

Testimonials

Rebecca...

"Firstly, never have I met such a healer. Deep is intuitive, nurturing kind and caring. Through his accupuncture he has started to bring me back to life. I first went to Deep when I was suffering from severe anxiety and panic attacks and in a short time he has not only managed to shift my anxiety, where I have days where I don't feel anxious anymore, I'm starting to feel like the person I once was many many years ago before the decline of my mental health. We are still on a healing journey but what amazing progress has been achieved so far. I am eternally grateful and I cannot recommend Deep enough. It has been life changing."

What can Acupuncture help with?

Most people who I treat report a general improvement in their overall wellbeing, feeling more like themselves and with alleviated symptoms.  My approach to is treat the whole person at the root of their constitution, which is more often than not out of balance from emotional disharmony.  Acupuncture, as a holistic treatment, focusses on harmony in all areas of Body, Mind and Spirit, and so a precise list of symptoms that it can help with is not only a difficult area to research but also reduces the medicine to Western Medical constructs.

In 1997, the WHO along with several National Institutes of Health, published a Consensus Statement on acupuncture.  Their published results have been listed here, and gives an idea on acupuncture efficacy based on available research at the time.

The World Health Organisation recommended acupuncture for these diseases, symptoms or conditions, because acupuncture had been proved, through controlled trials, to be an effective treatment:

Cost

I recommend starting with a block of five weekly sessions.  This gives us and the medicine a reasonable opportunity before assessment.  During this time, we can discuss ongoing treatment spacing.

My aim is to empower people with their own health.   The pricing structure is intended to provide affordable ongoing holistic treatment, for those who would like to use acupuncture to maintain their health and wellbeing.  To achieve the best results, it is important to plan for more frequent treatments at the outset, as the gains accumulate in these early stages.  An ongoing treatment plan will then be recommended.

Most people choose to come for treatment every 4-6 weeks for 'maintenance', because life happens and has a habit of upsetting our balance, hindering our own ability to maintain optimal health (dis-ease).  These regular maintenance sessions are discounted.

For those people who require more regular treatment, the price is discounted further, in order to give them the support they need, whilst still in chronic situations; emotional or physical.

Five Session Block (Recommended)

Ongoing Maintenance (every 4-6 weeks)

Ongoing Treatment (less than monthly)

Ad hoc

£225

- 1 Diagnostic and Treatment session (2 hrs)

- 4 weekly treatments (1 hr)

(Saving: £70)

£48

Most people choose to carry on with regular maintenance to stay in the best possible health (1 hr).

(Saving: £7)

£40

For those who require more regular treatment (1 hr).

(Saving: £15)

Further concessions are available on request for anyone who requires more regular, weekly treatment.

£55

Price for those who prefer not to come for treatment every 4-6 weeks, and prefer seasonal or ad hoc treatment, as and when they feel the need (1 hr).

For new patients, who haven't attended a diagnostic session as part of a Five Session Block, then a 2 hour session will need to be booked first.  Cost: £75.
